Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez (born Sara Ramirez) is an Mexican American musician and popular actress. Her family was home-schooled by her mother, in the USA. She was subjected to racial remarks and made to feel unwanted. She began to gain confidence at the age of nineteen when she appeared in an audition and was highly praised by the judges for her vocal ability. The experience not only helped her gain confidence but changed her goals in the future. The 22-year-old earned an education from the Julliard School in New York. At the age of 23 she began her journey on Broadway in the Paul Simon musical The Capeman. Then, aged 23 her first film debut was You've received mail. Her biggest break came with her role as The Lady of The Lake, in the original Broadway version of Spamalot. The show won her the Tony Award and received great praise for the role. Later that year, as Callie Torres on Grey's Anatomy for ABC her role was given greater fame. In addition to being a popular singer, she has released two solo albums and an extended piece. In her role as an activist, she strives to promote LGBT equality.
